The Virginia Conservation Caucus was founded in 2009 by a collection of members of the General Assembly of Virginia who are committed to preserving the quality of our air, land, water, ecology and historical resources for our future generations. 

The Caucus has established liasons to issues in various areas.  Including the following:
  • Air Pollution
  • Water Quality, Stormwater, Chesapeake Bay
  • Uranium & Mining
  • Development/Smart Growth
  • Transportation, Transportation Funding, Public-Private Partnerships,
  • Transit (VRE/Heavy Rail/Light Rail/BRT)
  • Land Use & Smart Growth
  • Land Conservation, Historic Preservation & Open Space
  • Energy (Regulation, Renewables, Solar, Wind, Biomass, Energy Efficiency, Offshore Drilling)
  • Budget Process
  • State Parks & Public Land
