Announcing the VA Conservation Caucus

In 2009, Delegate Albert Pollard brought together a group of legislators who were committed to preserving the quality of our air, land, water, ecology and historical resources for our future generations and entitled it the Virginia Conservation Caucus.

The Caucus has established liasons to issues in various areas.  Including the following:
  • Air Pollution
  • Water Quality, Stormwater, Chesapeake Bay
  • Uranium & Mining
  • Development/Smart Growth
  • Transportation, Transportation Funding, Public-Private Partnerships,
  • Transit (VRE/Heavy Rail/Light Rail/BRT)
  • Land Use & Smart Growth
  • Land Conservation, Historic Preservation & Open Space
  • Energy (Regulation, Renewables, Solar, Wind, Biomass, Energy Efficiency, Offshore Drilling)
  • Budget Process
  • State Parks & Public Land
